Recruitment information

Qualification requirements Master's: those expecting to complete their degree in March 2026 (those completing between March 2023 and March 2025 also eligible)
Bachelor's: those expecting to graduate in March 2026 (those completing between March 2023 and March 2025 also eligible)
Job openings Scientific: Design, R&D, production technology, systems development, quality control, production control, technology management, sales engineers, etc.
Humanities: Sales (domestic/international), management (HR, accounts, general affairs, management planning, administration, etc.), production control, etc.
Majors Scientific: Mechanics, electrical, electronics, communications, information, physics, mathematics, chemistry, industrial engineering, etc.
Humanities: Any
Pay increases Annual (July)
Salary 2026 starting salary (base salary)
Master's graduate: 284,000 yen/month
Bachelor's graduate: 260,000 yen/month
Bonuses Twice per year (June, December)
Allowances Overtime allowance, family allowance, housing allowance or rent subsidy, lunch subsidy, qualification allowance, etc.
  • Example of a qualification allowance
    TOEIC score of 860 or over: 10,000 yen (monthly)
Transportation expenses Fully covered
Working area Tokyo (head office), Toyama, Ibaraki, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, overseas (no overseas postings available immediately after hiring except in case of local recruitment by overseas subsidiary)
Working hours Flextime system
  • Core hours are 10:20-15:35
  • Standard working hours 8:20-17:05 (8 hours/day) Lunch break 45 minutes (8:35-17:05 from September 11 to March 10)
  • Annual working hours: 1882 hours and 15 minutes (April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025)
Days off and holidays
  • 126 days off per year
    Full weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
    4-9 day holidays at New Year, Golden Week and summer
  • Compassionate leave, maternity leave, spousal maternity leave, etc.
  • Paid annual leave (10 days in first year, up to 20 days)
  • Flexible days off
    A system that allows employees to take four weekdays off whenever they like, of the 126 days off per year
Insurance Full company insurance (employment, work-related accident, health, pension)

    Full salary paid during leave 8 weeks before birth and 8 weeks after birth

Online test

Answer questions unique to SMK.
A test of basic academic ability.

Interview and aptitude test

2-3 interviews (with HR, hiring division and executives), held in parallel with aptitude test.

Number of selections depends on the circumstances.

First and second interviews will be conducted online. It is to come to the office only for the final interview.
