The CS Division is responsible for connectors. Connectors are the parts that can electronically connect devices and help the connections within devices.
They are being used in a variety of applications in daily life such as smartphones and wearable devices, as well as healthcare devices and automobiles, contributing to adding value to the products.
We continue to aim for connectivity at an even higher level and to be a market leader in the future of electronics.

Connectors are being used in a wide range of fields, including ICT, home appliances, automotive, and industry markets. The development of electronics in these markets is very advanced, and the requirements are diversified. Also, the type of connectors demanded for the evolving markets is changing, considering factors such as the electrification of automobiles, the penetration of AI, and the mobile devices that become faster and that deal with huge volumes of data.
In the automotive market, the number of automotive cameras per vehicle is increasing due to the development in ADAS and self-driving technology. And in parallel, the connector demand for high-speed transmission to handle the volumes of data is getting higher. For the ICT market, we are enhancing the development of connectors for mobile devices, such as smartphones and wearable devices, which are small sizing, have high transfer speeds, and can handle high currents.

ICT
Our connector development for ICT market is focused on small sizing, low height, and high speed. These features are applied to our products such as Type-C™ connectors, RF board to board connectors, and earth terminals for noise resistance, targeting to use in smartphones and personal computers in the future.

We developed One Action FPC connectors (the EA series) which are compatible with automated assembly, targeting to assist the robotic automation in manufacturing processes, which in turn has a role in solving the global labor shortage and reducing costs.

Car Electronics
We are emphasizing the development of automotive camera connectors and high-frequency and high-speed connectors to support increasing demand through the spread of electrification of vehicles and self-driving technology. We have also succeeded in mass-producing FPC connectors for batteries on EVs, which contribute to reducing the total weight of vehicles.
